About my karting journey so far!
I went karting for the first time in the very beginning of 2024 at Teamsport Warrington, my best time was a 1 minute 55. Even though I was so slow I had a lot of fun and joined the race academy soon after!
Beginners
Race academy
I got through the beginners level of race academy in 2 sessions, brought my time down by 30 seconds in the first session and then a further 15 in the second.
Intermediate
Race academy
I was in this level of race academy from February through till December due to multiple setbacks with confidence, money and slow lap times.
It’s been a long journey with indoor karting as I held myself back from achieving more than I could have as I was doubting myself constantly because I was slower than other people. But recently I had some help from an instructor at my local track I’ve finally officially moved up to advanced and it’s only up from here.
Outdoor karting
As for my outdoor karting journey, I cannot say much but I am going to push myself as hard as I can to be consistent and improve and hopefully move up from class 11/ Hondas to class 15/ Rotax. I have currently had 1 full race meeting and 2 test days which have helped me learn so much already and I will continue to learn as time goes on.My journey so far has been so all over the place, sometimes it’s been difficult to keep on going and keep pushing through and having the support of my friends, family and instructors along the way has made it so much easier for me to get through and I am so thankful for all of them. I plan to make race reports after each meeting and i will post them on instagram as well as on here. Thank you for taking the time to read through this!
